Mumbai is liberated and enough is enough

So after more than sixty hours, the city of Mumbai and the world in general heaved a sigh of relief. All but one of the terrorists are dead. And the one captured has revealed it all - the diabolic plan to destabilize India. How they were trained for months in advance to carry out their neferious plan.

Our congratulations to the brave security forces, some of whom have laid down their lives in saving others. Where does India and the world go next? Will terrorism of this kind end? No it will not.

Pakistan has already started its old trick of denying everything.

The Indian govt should be firm - lay out the collected evidence

from the scenes and from the captured terrorist. Maybe all in Pakistan may not be involved, but sure some did. These terrorist groups operating from Pakistan killed many of Pakistan’s leaders as well. It is heartening to see President Zardari assuring his cooperation. He lost his wife Benazir to the same terrorist attacks just a few months ago. It is also heatening to see President Bush go on television to say that the United States is on India’s side.

The war on terror will never be over. Let us pray God intervenes to save his people. Our sincere condolences to the Jewish people for losing a few of their citizens as well.

The battle continues for India’s Mumbai

It is more than 48 hrs after the terrorist attacks began in Mumbai. More and more information is filtering, information that only proves how well prepared in advance they were. Top policemen and civilians have died. Cellphone conversations of militants talking to their comrades in Karachi were revealed as suspected all along. Pakistan is involved in more than one way, though it may not be the official line from there. There was that time when the attacks on Parliament in New Delhi some time before. The Indian govt. had nearly decided to take military action against Pakistan. But for the intervention of the United States, the situation could have been tackled even then. One way would be to stop the grouping of people in those madrasas in Pakistan. Because that is where these attacks are alleged to be planned. India could warn Pakistan and if they do not close down these religious places, it could launch air strikes on the places of meetings of these terrorist groups. For that the Prime Minister of India should take a firm stand …we salute the bravery of all those who laid down their lives including the hostages.

India’s 9/11

It was with horror we saw the live pictures of the havoc

in Mumbai last night. The same dreaded feeling of loss

and confusion as did on Sept 11 in America.

One cannot help feeling the lapse in security. How can boatfuls of suspected terrorists cross the seas from Karachi

to Mumbai without anyone knowing it? We do not have to look far to see who did this damage in India. The Al-Queida

is active in India. The congratulatory emails also have

a distinct Bin Laden men like tone. Why has it taken more than 24 hrs to end the seige in the Taj Hotel in Mumbai

All that the cops had to do is storm the rooms where

the terrorists were hiding. This is what the Russians did when they got rid of the Chechnyan rogues in a movie theater

there. Our sympathies to the families who lost their

loved ones in the attacks. America now has the best

homeland security. India should take a leaf from its

books to protect its people. Three of the country’s top

police officials are no more. We salute them for their

bravery in the call of duty.
