So Pakistan has admitted after all!
It was all over the television yesterday - they admitted that the lone surviving terrorist in the Mumbai attacks was indeed a Pakistani. But after how many flip flops? As many as 4 of them, admit-deny, admit-deny… The poor national security advisor Durrani has lost his job. Why did this so-called decent Pakistani civilian govt remove a person for telling the truth? It was clear - he was at loggerheads with the new establishment from the beginning he was appointed. Most members in the present Pakistani cabinet resent the fact that Durrani was nominated for the position, he was not elected. Friends will remember that Durrani was a top Musharaff aide. Why the flip-flops? Because there are several sources of power in the Pakistani establishment that no one knows who is in control. Can Prime Minister Gillani sack the army chief Kayani? He better not! Ha! Ha! He better write his last will and testament before he does a foolish thing like that. Pakistan has been so unfortunate that it never had a good civilian rule for long without the army gun pointing at them sooner or later. India is scoring point after point in its diplomatic war with Pakistan. India has borne the pain of cross-border terrorism for decades and it is its time to give it back them a hundred-fold. Thank God for his fairness.
