President Obama? Yes, he has!

Published by sincerewriter at 3:59 am under Current events Edit This

It was a moment in American history, a time of redemption for all those who suffered and died for civil rights in the country. With tears streaming down their tanned faces, blacks from all round the world welcomed a man whom they thought was their hope for a still better life. They stood patiently along the pavements of the Pennsylvannia avenue leading from the capitol to the White House and waved at him as he came out of his limousine twice to greet them in the parade following his inauguration. Barrack Obama , a man whose father was refused to be served in a restaurant sixty years ago had become the President of the United States. I am sure he was greeted by Martin Luther King, MalcomnX, President Lincoln and Johnson and others from Heaven as what they had fought for for many many years had its finest moment. The great American dream had come true.

His inaugural speech did not surprise me at all. He is a superb writer and orator. With a mind so clearly focussed on the tasks staring at him, he laid out his message clearly to everyone who listened everywhere. There was one line I liked so much…” We are not going to change our way of life one bit no matter what, goods and services that America offered are in demand as never before. It is not the wars alone that has got into the mess we are in today, but it is our collective failure on all fronts.” He had a veiled warning for the muslim world.

The minority in America has become the majority leading the previous majority. They have one of them as their President. Thank God for Obama
